”…take my hand, live while you can, don’t you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand?”
Sidney is a genuinely friendly person who tries to like everyone but
there are some people with whom she cannot bring herself to like. She
has a sharp mind and an even sharper tongue. Fluent in sarcasm. She
enjoys being challenged whether it be intellectually or in other ways.
She enjoys being around people who challenge her. They are the people
she tends to be the closest to. She is caring almost to a fault and
will do almost anything for those she holds close. Sidney likes to
laugh and have fun but also acknowledges boundaries. Everyone at one
point or another has made a comment about her being wiser than her
years. Her siblings, and stepfather, even call her “Nan” because she
is very much the mother hen. She can be insecure and hates to feel
like she does not have control over the situation. This, in
combination with her compulsion to care, can be counted as her
greatest weakness.

Sidney Wendeline Meade was born on May 29, 1996 in London, England to
college sweethearts Liam and Cady Meade. She was loved by both and
they were the picture of a perfect family to everyone that knew them.
Unfortunately, the perfect picture dissolved when Sidney was five and
her parents divorced. There were no infidelities as the rumor mill in
their small village assumed, instead, her parents had realized that
they did not love each other as much as they once had and amicably
split.
Due to a job offered to her father as an international liaison to the
ministry, Sidney moved with him to the States at six years old. A
small town in Western Massachusetts became her home and London was a
place to spend her summers. Thanks to her dual citizenship (to keep up appearances in the Muggle world), Sidney was able to straddle the line and remain true to both sides of her family.
Sidney had always excelled when it came to school. She possessed her
father’s brains and her mother’s wit with a personality that outshone
either of theirs. She attended a small private school until an allergy
induced sneeze attack one Spring day led to blooms of flowers
sprouting around her feet as she played in the grass. No longer able
to hide her burgeoning powers, her father took to providing her with
tutors until the time she was accepted into the academy. The day that her acceptance letter arrived, while she in London for the summer, Sidney and her parents were overjoyed that she would follow in their footsteps.
With the passing of years Sidney lost the hope that one day her
parents would reunite. She was even a little happy when her Mother
called her to let her know she was engaged. Sidney had liked Brecken
when she had met him. He could carry a conversation and learned
quickly that even though she was eight, she wasn’t a child. He also
loved her Mom and made her happy which Sidney could find no fault in.
With their marriage, a few years later came the announcement that Sidney would
become a big sister, a job she had always dreamed of. When she not
only got a sister but a brother a few minutes later, Sidney was
overjoyed. She is very loving and protective of her younger siblings.
Nothing annoys her more than someone picking on them.
As of right now, Sidney is as normal as a sixteen year old girl with
magical powers can be. She excels in all of her classes (except
potions but she tries her best and will ignore you if you bring it up)
and tries to keep out of trouble even if sometimes she can’t. She
enjoys her time at the academy much like any of the other kids and
looks forward to her breaks spent with family.
The library was one of Sidney’s favorite places. The smell of old books, the peace, the calm, had always been her comfort zone. While others excelled in sports or the arts, Sidney excelled in the classroom.
She felt the presence of a person before she felt the weight of his body on the table. Sidney didn’t need to look up to know who it was, only one person in the world called her “darling”. She had unfortunately let him know that the name had annoyed her and thus a nickname was born. While it still annoyed her, she would never let anyone else call her by that name.
“I’m sure you are.” She replied dryly before sitting back and looking up at him. He wore that shit eating grin like it was part of his uniform. “I, on the other hand, am always surprised to see you in here.”
Rarely was Peter in here for something legit. Sidney was fairly sure that in all of their years here David hadn’t spent much time actually studying in the library. “Did you get lost? No, wait, let me guess, you need help. You know the drill; what is in it for me?” She was always ready to help but she never let Peter know that. He needed to sweeten the pot. If there was one thing she had learned from knowing him it was that you never give away your services for free. Crossing her arms over her chest she smiled her version of his grin and waited.
