Ducks were interesting creatures, the way they could glide along the water then dip down under the surface, tails wiggling and a comical manner. At least it was comical to Peter, especially when he made four of them do it in a row, like a form of syncronyseded duck wiggling. He was sitting on a log that had possibly fallen on its own but had been rolled closer to the edge of the pond by students or faculty years ago, so long ago that plants had grown up around it and it would be difficult to move again without the aid of magic.
Peter, however, wasn't thinking about the log under his butt, he wasn't thinking abou the guitar in his lap or the sun in the sky or even the fly buzzing around his head. Peter was thinking about the ducks and which chords to play that would make them swim in interweaving figure eights. After a near collision between the second and third duck, Peter and the ducks (hey, that wasn't half bad as a band name) found their rhythm, much to the delight of human and water fowl alike.
Satisfied with his practice for the day, Peter took his fingers off the strings and let the last chord slip into silence. As if waking from a trance, the ducks regained their free will. With a flurry of wings and water droplets, the band broke up, ducks taking off to their various solo projects.
One of them flew right over another person, one Peter hadn't noticed. "Shit! Look out!" he warned, although he was laughing as he did. If the kid wasn't quick enough, he would get a hair full of pond water. Which, while he didn't actively hope would happen, Peter imagined would be pretty funny if it actually did.

Ariella sighed lightly as she walked out of the castle. She looked around the grounds. She saw a boy playing with some ducks by the lake and decided she would go visit with him. Maybe even gain a new friend. She sighed as she began to move but paused. She watched as the ducks swooped and flicked and went round and round. She smiled bright amused.
She flattened her skirt and pulled down her shirt. She was wearing a yellow mini skirt, and a black shirt. It was a nice afternoon and she walked lightly over towards the boy. Just as she walked closer the birds began to rush and he screamed towards her. She jumped and ran out of the way of the birds.
She sighed and as she watched the ducks fly away she looked towards the boy. She sighed and smoothed out her skirt once again and looked at the pond. She walked over to the boy and spoke.
"that was beautiful"

"Which part? The part where they danced or the part where they hauled ass away from me?" Peter grinned at the girl, thinking she looked familiar. but then everyone in the castle looked vaguely familiar. She wasn't from his house, of course, but maybe Wonderland?
Regardless, she was cute and she was complimenting him - two of Peter's favorite things, so he gave her his full attention.

She giggled lightly at his statement then walked over to the spot next to him and sat down lightly. She smiled looked out towards the water and back at him. He was a cutie. She smiled and pulled her red hair into her hands lightly and whisked it over her shoulder.
"the first part."
She smiled brightly then looked at the water once more. Longing to be in it. She sighed softly before turning back to the boy.
"Im Ariella by the way. But you can call me Arie."

His smiled only got bigger as she sat next to him. "Peter," at the introduction, he turned his body sideways on the log, making it easier to see her. "Arie." His tone was distant as he rolled the name around in his brain The name along with the distinctive hair color jogged something in his memory. "You're in Wonderland, right?"

She smiled as the boy introduced himself. Peter, she liked the name peter. She watched as he moved his body sideways so he was facing her. She smiled getting the full view of him. He was really cute but wasn't sure his house. Or who he was at all only his name.
"very pleased to meet you Peter"
She said in a kind of flirty tone. She smiled brightly at his next question. He knew her house?
"yes what a glorious house. And you sir?"

She had an odd cadence to her speach, but Peter didn't mind, especially when she called him sir. It made him feel important, or rather, he always felt important, and it was nice to have that acknowledged. By a pretty girl no less. "Shanghai!" he said this with as much pride as she had. "You're a prefect, yeah?"

She smiled, she was in the company of a shanghaiboy. They were probably as self rightious as she had heard. She smiled when he asked if she was a prefect. She nodded her head and looked towards the water. She knew passages in the school others did not. She could sneak anywhere she wanted anytime. she smiled lightly and looked back towards him.
"yes. Is that a problem?"

"Well now, that depends..." He trailed off, making a big show of considering it, head dipping in her direction, but really he was just hamming it up for a bigger pay off. "Do you plan to give me detention?" He couldn't hold up the serious look and a slow, mischievous grin spread back across his face. "Make me write lines or otherwise ruin my fun?"

She couldn't help but laugh. She decided to play a flirtatious smirk on her face. She was having fun talking to this boy. She looked at him and shook her dead lightly and then looked at the pond and then back towards him. she knew exactly what she was going to say. She put on a serious face and looked at him.
"i dunno have you been a bad boy?"

Peter tossed his head back and laughed. It was such a cliched saying and her serious face only made it better. "Every chance I get." He admitted, although it had more of an air of promise than penance. This Arie girl was alright, Peter decided.

She laughed and looked at him. She liked this kid he was funny. She smiled lightly and looked at the pond and looked around. She smiled and then began to think. When a thought popped into her head. She was going to get into trouble with this boy. she smiled brightly and looked over towards him a slow blush creeping upon her cheeks. She smiles and spoke soft.
"I know all sorts of secret passages if you wanna see sometime"

"Do you now?" Peter managed to pull off both patronizing and intrigued at the same time. He new a fair number of the castle's secrets, including sever of the passage variety, but even he wasn't confident enough to think he knew them all. Plus, even if she showed him one he already knew, he'd get to spend more time with the pretty girl with the big eyes.
Decision made, Peter saw no reason to wait. "Sometime like nowtime?" Then added, "I'll show you mine if you show me yours," because it was only fair to share one of his secrets if she was sharing hers. Plus, the phrase 'secret passage' always sounded a little naughty to him.
