Shegowas not much of a library goer. Maybe it had something to do with her gloves that focused her mutated magic power or maybe the fact she preferred kinetic activities.... But she was generally bored to tears in a library where she had to be careful of the books and act all proper. However, the library was not commonly interrupted by students at this morning hour and so she hoped she could get a bit of the paperwork done without dealing with students. Hopefully... Even if there were students in the library, they would be the intelligent type right? She crossed her legs under the library table she had sat down at and began to work on the stack of papers she had.
Her long black hair was tied back with a green scrunchy, green having always been her favorite color, enough to have it as an accent for the generally black professional clothing she wore. Her green eyes were outlined in black eyeliner and her skin was a normal color because she hadn't used her power. Her lips were touched with a little bit of black lipstick and she almost looked professional if it weren't for the fact she looked her age. Being a rather young assistant professor, she tended to blend in more with the students then with the teachers, which is why she usually ate at the Shanghai table to keep order. It was also another reason she hoped she wouldn't be distracted. So she continued to work, pen tapping against the corner of her mouth.

Hooke decided he wanted to search the muggle section of the library for some supplemental teaching literature, or possibly for students to do extra wook. Hooke didn't usually offer extra credit, but this time he intended it for his own amusement. If he could find the right muggle item to use as an experiemtn, he'd do it as well, with Smee's help, of course, and then offer it up to any student who wanted to experiment or who just wanted the extra credit. Hooke walked into the library and spotted a kindred spirit. Hook had enjoyed having Sheena Galloi when she had been in his classes when she was attending the academy. She seemd to have that same lust that Hooke did. Not for muggle items, but for power and dominance. Hook leaned over in front of Galloi, that usual glinting gleam in his eyes. "Galloi, my dear. How are you this fine morning? Doing some extra furry creature research?"

Sheena gave a bit of a smile up at the familiar voice. She had taken muggle studies for a little while in her third year but discovered it wasn't quite something she needed. Still... She had kept up a friendly correspondance with Professor Hooke so when she returned to the academy as a teaching assistant, she found him to be a surprising island of sanity in a sea of madness and lovey dovey stuff. It was a bonus that he had never been one of those to comment on her beauty but instead just look at her mind. If it weren't for the fact he had a loyal assistant in Smee... She'd offer.
"Not exactly..." She told the professor. "I'm busy working on the standard creature approval forms combined with marking. Dreadfully boring but necessary." If it weren't necessary, she would've burned up the forms already. In fact, she had been tempted several times in her few months of working as an assistant professor to just go to the ministry and threaten a few people so she wouldn't have to deal with this stuff. Then she decided that was more effort then it was worth so stayed where she was.
Green fire kind of crackled against the desk and she swore under her breath. "Sorry... " Sheena told him " My thoughts were brought unpleasantly to the idiots in the ministry... What brings you to the library?" She looked at the burn in her table and gave a light sigh before filing her gloves a bit sharper. It may seem strange to file gloves but her gloves were one part focus tool for her fire and two parts bladed weapon. She needed to keep the bladed weapon sharp so she took care of them as much as she took care of her normal nails. She was listening though.

Hooke had gotten used to the magical mutation that emanated from Galloi's hands. It wasn't something that even fazed him any more. He listened to her as she told him about the task she was undertaking. It seemed menial... something that he would have Smee do. He supposed that's what assistants were for, doing things that the professor himself doesn't feel like doing. Smee was more than an assistant to Hooke, but he was his assistant nonetheless.
Galloi apologized for burning the table and Hooke shrugged it off. It wasn't as though she needed to apologize to him. It was only a table. He turned, leaning against the table to the other side of her when she mentioned the idiots at the ministry. He agreed with her surmising. They were all a bunch of neanderthals in his mind. He knew he was smarter than the lot of them, and he was quite sure that his young associate was smarter than them as well.
"Well," he told her, answering her question as to why he was in the library today, "I have come in search of extra course work for my students. Something... experimental. So, I've come to explore the muggle section for something that will broaden my students minds. What do you say, my dear, what muggle item do you think would give the burgeoning minds the greatest challenge?"

She was, frankly, unsurprised at the fact he simply shrugged off her burning the table. She had a firey temper and that combined with her ability made for enough fires. Plus it wasn't like she particularly cared about this library table either. She just was so used to apologizing for burning something that she tended to do it. Besides... It made her look unprofessional and that wasn't very good for an assistant professor. She sharpened her claws a little bit more just because she was at the tips of them before going back to focusing on him when he went to discuss what he was doing there.
She didn't expect him to ask her on muggle items though. Frankly, she had taken muggle studies because she was an overachiever since those who were good students were less likely to get in trouble if they caused trouble... But there was also the fact that her town had been muggle friendly, for all it was a fully wizarding town, so she did have a knowledge of a few things before being asked by Professor Hooke. She thought a little on the matter before looking at her nails.
"I'd suggest a weapon class but I imagine you do not need to do waivers." She told him "So maybe some of their conveniences? Not something as dull as a pen but I know the females of the class will be using some of the household spells by now. I can help in that class since I had never been very good with those sort of charms but I imagine that would be a paradigm shift." She wasn't a bad charms student... It was just her flames tended to flare when she used her magic and she didn't want to have her hands too close to her face when she did that. So often times when she did her best to avoid possible danger... She messed up those spells.
Not that her flame hurt her or anything... It was just that her hair and clothing was not immune to her flame. You only need to melt your hair once to not do that again. Plus... Usually those sort of spells were done when she had her gloves off and she worried about her wand then. Which was why she stuck to actually doing things the muggle way. She also understood why her peers had a problem with it though... She once lent someone one of her muggle accessories to use and they totally messed that up, even having watched her do it. Hence the recommendation. Although maybe one more...
"If that doesn't work, you could always bring in a movie." She commented "Though good luck getting the school board to approve of an interesting one... Then again... I think Bill Nye would be approachable." She only had a few encounters with the show. She actually went to a muggle school for a few years for "immersion". Obviously that stopped after she developed her flame abilities because she needed control. But she had watched her share of primer muggle movies and that one was one of them.
